I grew up in Seattle, and got my start in the art scene as a kid making and selling silly trinkets for local craft fairs with my grandma, mom, and sister.  I enjoyed regularly checking out illustrated field guides at the library when I was little, and over time that eventually inspired painting my own versions with all the creatures I got to know. What really kicked things off was when my coworker at the bakery we worked at who had a sweet ceramics setup in her basement introduced me to pottery. She kept encouraging me to make more art. Wouldn’t you know I could not resist a medium that combined my loves of drawing and baking and I’ve been a smitten kitten ever since with the art form.
